The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Corporate Reliability Leader, the MRO Manager supports the effective management of MRO spare parts at MLF plants. As part of the journey towards a world class maintenance program, the MRO Manager will leverage the capabilities of SAP to minimize inventory costs while not impacting the availability of critical assets.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
- Conduct calculations, analysis, presentations, and reports on MRO management.
- Perform spot checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of MRO data in SAP.
- Develop and manage KPIs to track progress toward world-class MRO management and cost reduction. Drive cost-saving initiatives, including refurbishable parts, OEM vs. manufacturer spares, and reduced rush orders.
- Assess plant MRO maturity through scheduled maintenance evaluations.
- Train MRO coordinators and storekeepers on SAP transactions.
- Monitor inventory holdings against consumption data and adjust min/max levels as needed.
- Maintain MLF’s Bill of Materials Standard and ensure plant compliance.
- Collaborate with engineering to provide logistics input and support developing spare parts lists for new assets.
- Develop and implement MRO strategies aligned with corporate goals.
- Reduce duplicate parts through crib audits
- Collaborate with MRO procurement finance team on purchasing strategies that align with Reliability and Engineering strategies and specifications. Preferred vendor and contractor alignment.
- Assist and recommend location-specific MRO budgets, ensuring cost control, preventing downtime and inventory accuracy.
- Identify and implement process improvements across MRO operations.
- Lead and mentor MRO teams, fostering continuous improvement and professional development.
- Oversee MRO projects, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and quality-driven execution. Hands on approach at sites may be required.
- Anticipate and mitigate risks related to equipment failure and supply chain disruptions.
- Support network-wide MRO functions and provide remote/on-site SAP training.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to MRO staff across the network.
- Advise maintenance managers on resource requirements for successful MRO operations.
- Work with plant MRO leaders to identify challenges and implement improvements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring:
- A university or technical college graduate with a degree, certificate or diploma in a related field;
- Must have at least eight (8+) years of experience in MRO or related fields.
- Must have at least five (5) years of relevant supervisory experience;
- Knowledgeable in best practices in MRO management and familiar with what word class looks like;
- Proven track record of managing large-scale MRO operations.
- Experience in Life Cycle Cost Analysis, RCM and inventory optimization. Familiar with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and TPM;
- Strong analytical and computer skills. Highly proficient in the use of SAP, inventory optimization software and Microsoft Office; SAP Material Master required
- Able to leverage SAP to generate key performance indicators and monitor benchmarks;
- Demonstrated effectiveness working in a Unionized environment;
- An excellent communicator in English, both verbally and in writing. Readily able to develop cross-departmental relationships.
