Director, eCommerce

 The Opportunity:

As part of the newly created Accelerate Center of Excellence, the Director of eCommerce is tasked with delivering a growth agenda with all our North American ecommerce customers and quick commerce partners while also equipping Maple Leaf to participate in future ecommerce business models.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Set direction, performance objectives, provide feedback and make key business decisions for the eCommerce Customer & Partnership Execution team
  • Build and own the eCom customer P&L
  • Evaluate eCom assortment and mix to future proof the health of the ecom business
  • Lead team in delivering over-indexing share across all measured categories
  • Monitor digital merchandising investment and ROI
  • Builds and maintains knowledge base of competitors and consumer/customer trends in the marketplace/industry, integrating this information into strategic recommendations
  • Evaluate new ecommerce business models
  • Responsible for staying current with industry best practices and emerging best practices. 

What You’ll Bring:

  • At least 10+ years of progressive Sales/Marketing experience managing customers, strategies, & business objectives
  • University degree in business or related area
  • eCommerce & digital marketing experience an asset
  • Excellent influencer with the ability to inspire, align and engage multiple teams without exercising direct authority
  • Strong leader capable of developing a vision, drawing on multi-disciplinary perspectives, obtaining buy-in across the business, and driving collaborative execution
  • Excellent ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization, locally and internationally
  • Energized by thinking differently, delivering change, and diplomatically challenging the norm
  • Successful experience working across the spectrum of strategic to executional, and comfortable with hands-on delivery
  • Comfortable with ambiguity but able to build structure and clarity
  • Self-starter who sees things through to completion
  • Uncompromising ethics and integrity
  • Excellent financial and business acumen
  • Track record of delivering results focusing on overall profitability
  • Deep industry/market knowledge
  • Ability to understand Maple Leaf and customer goals and translate into clear and concise customer strategies with effective action plans
  • Exceptional story telling skills
  • High energy, self-motivated, and proactive
  • Confidence and ability to respectfully challenge decisions and/or status quo
  • Ability to make quick and timely decisions and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, complex environment
