As part of Maple Leaf Food’s Maintenance team, the individual will be responsible for maintaining and servicing equipment used in the facility for the daily production of our products. They will also ensure safe plant operations and a safe working environment for all employees. Our Industrial Electrician rate is $$44.42 hour, with an additional premium of $0.45/hour for the night shift.
Shift Available - Tuesday - Friday: 7:30pm - 6:00am
Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
· Trouble shooting/repairs/installations of processing equipment with a working knowledge of electrical to allow efficient repair/replacement results
· Program and troubleshoot variable frequency drives (VFDs)
· Read and understand electrical power and control system wiring and schematics
· Repair/maintain/trouble shoot motor controls, temperature sensors and safety sensors
· Carry out oral/printed work requests and apply corrective action
· Perform regular Work Orders and account for inventory and labour on a computerized maintenance program
· Understand and adhere to all plant Food/Health and Safety Polices
What You’ll Bring:
- Red Seal Ticket
- Must have own hand tools
- Knowledge of plant and equipment operations
- Ability to organize and plan daily tasks with minimal supervision
- Good mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills
· Must have experience working with voltages ranging from 24V to 575V, 3 phase
· Must be able to read logic and flow diagrams
- Must be able to work overnight shift
- Available for weekend overtime as production demands require
