IS Manager, Client End Point Technology

 The Opportunity:

The IS Manager, Client End Point Technology role is responsible for the day-to-day support and operations of over 6000 End Points across the organization. End Points consisting of client and mobile computing, Enterprise Printing and Meeting Room Technology.

The Successful candidate will possess strong management skills with a passion and background in technology. They will bring strong communication and problem-solving skills, adaptable to changing technology and willingness to collaborate

This role manages a team of geographically dispersed technical analysts and reports to the Director of Client Technology and Integrated Infrastructure. It is a Flexible Hybrid working model working out of our Mississauga office.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Managing and mentoring a team of 12 direct reports through regular 1 on 1 and team meetings
  • Evolving the End User Computer Ecosystem by participating in Strategy and owning and executing on the road map through project implementation
  • Contributing to Annual Budget and project planning activities
  • Managing and monitoring a Ticket queue with an emphasis of Ticket resolution and Problem Ticket Management
  • Ownership on Annual End Point Lifecycle processes – Creating and supporting Capital, Maintaining and Refreshing Hardware standards, execution of Hardware refresh
  • Support and Maintain Microsoft Teams Rooms Technology
  • Identifying and building recommended process improvements
  • Version Control and Patch Management activities for End Point Operating Systems (Primarily Windows 10) and Microsoft 365 Office
  • Maintaining Management tools such as Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager and Windows Intune end point management (Co-Managed environment)
  • Create and deliver presentation on technology in  your area as needed (Roadmap, Projects, Execution etc.)

What You’ll Bring:

  • Passion for Technology.
  • A Self starter who is driven and possesses strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent Communication skills (Written and verbal) and ability to communicate to various levels of the organization.
  • > 5 years’ experience in a in a Technical Lead managing large scale projects and deployments
  • Experience with managing and supporting Microsoft based End Point technology, understanding System Center Configuration Manager and Microsoft Intune)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 technologies (specifically Windows, Office, Teams, and Microsoft Teams Rooms)
  • Experience of owning and participating in budget processes
  • Experience in creation of Business Case proposals for new items
  • Comfort in collaborating and engaging with multiple teams and process owners
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Ability to travel, Plant visits, meeting with staff or vendors, attending conferences
  • Post-secondary degree in computer technology, user experience, business management or other relevant programs or experiences
