Job Description: COVID Cleaner / Disinfector
Job Duties:
  • Cleans, disinfects touch points throughout the facility (i.e. offices, doors, tables, microwaves), emptying used PPE bins, spot cleaning;
  • Re-stocking COVID PPE dispensers (masks, hand sanitizer)
  • Back-up to employee/visitor COVID screeners (Ability to understand and adhere to confidentiality requirements; Administer the Maple Leaf Foods screening tool; screening employees/visitors prior to entry of the facility by asking questions on health screening sheet);
  • Assist with other functions as part of the Maple Leaf Foods COVID-19 prevention strategy;
  • Position requires sitting, walking and standing for sustained periods of time while wearing PPE;
  • Performs additional duties as required;
Job Requirements:
  • Completion of High School Education required;
  • Strong interpersonal and English communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Education and/or experience working in healthcare or a health and safety related environment is an asset;
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and must provide documentation to prove eligibility to work in Canada;
  • Must have a valid license and/or transportation to and from the plant located in St. Marys, Ontario (not on a bus route);
  • Comfortable being part of a multi-cultural environment;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask;
Shifts:
Afternoon Shift   3:00PM to 11:00PM    and     Night Shift  11:00PM to 7:00AM
