Position Summary We are seeking reliable individuals to join our on-call snow removal team. This position is ideal for someone who can respond quickly when needed and is comfortable working outdoors in winter conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor weather conditions and assess when snow removal services are required
Remove snow from designated areas (barns, driveways, walkways, parking lots, etc.) using shovels, tractor and snow blower (company provided), or other equipment
Apply salt or sand as required for safety
Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
Communicate availability promptly when contacted for work
Follow Maple Leaf Foods AgOps Biosecurity Policy and Personal Hygiene Program
Perform other duties as assigned
What’s in it for you?
$29.46 per hour
All PPE is provided to employees (Boot Reimbursement of $125 after 3 months of service)
Qualifications
Reliable transportation to job sites
Previous experience in snow removal is an asset but not required
Able to follow SOPs and health & safety protocols
Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs, including shoveling of snow
