Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team. Our Barn Sanitation and Maintenance team is responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining barns and equipment at our breeder farm operations. This role also supports general farm duties that may arise throughout the scheduled shift. Weekday and weekend availability is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning company owned Breeder barns and equipment 
  • Sanitation of barns and equipment using chemicals
  • Maintenance and repairs to barns and barn equipment
  • Operation of variety of machinery and hand tools
  • Installing new equipment
  • Changing over old equipment
  • Must travel to various farms
  • Moving spiking birds
  • Ensure compliance with animal health and welfare protocols
  • Follow safety and quality standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned


What’s in it for you?
  • $27.87- $28.87 per hour (based on progression)
  • All PPE is provided to employees (Boot Reimbursement of $125 after 3 months of service
 

Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and safety
  • Must understand and follow all Animal Welfare/CHEQ/Biosecurity procedures
  • Capable of performing heavy work on a daily basis
  • Able to complete work without supervision
  • Must have experience with hand tools
  • Experience operating equipment (skid steers and Steiner tractors)
  • Able to work in extreme weather hot or cold
  • Able to work longer hours on some days (e.g. early starts and/or late end times)
  • Experience with feeding equipment an asset
  • Poultry background an asset
  • Valid G driver’s license
