HR Services Specialist

 The Opportunity:

The HR Services Specialist is a member of the HR Services team responsible for providing first tier HR program and process support. The HR Services Specialist is responsible for supporting the development and execution of HR Services activities through the monitoring and reporting of internal execution activities to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreement (SLA) standards are set and met. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for the accurate and timely management of SAP HR data, administering complex processes, onboarding and training team members and recommending audits to identify, resolve or prevent errors as required to enable the delivery of accurate, consistent, efficient, and high-quality service delivery and customer service. 

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Maintain the accuracy of the HR Services knowledge base information (Benefit/SAP/MSS/ESS Guides, Reference Material, FAQs, etc.)
  • Develop and update the HR Services team activity dashboard (process activity volume, Ticket System, trends, collect insights on SAP, weekly errors, etc.)
  • Provide relevant summaries and insights on HR Services Team execution
  • Execute reports and validate HR systems data integrity, resolve issues, and make recommendations for process improvements as necessary (Weekly/Monthly Audit, Benefit Audit, Participation Monitor, etc.)
  • Maintain the HR Services Case Management System to identify trends and patterns for insights to recommend improvements on HR processes including Process Flows/SLAs/Work Instructions/Dashboards, and others as required.
  • Deliver HR Services Training plan and measure plan effectiveness
  • Develop People Site communication and maintain the content and information on the intranet and Teams
  • Flexible to support the general administration of HR programs and services including maintenance of HRIS data, in accordance with standard operating procedures and service level agreements established with the HR Centres of Excellence (COEs)

What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong working knowledge of HRIS systems (SAP preferred)
  • Demonstrated initiative and sound judgment for effective decision-making
  • Detail-oriented and analytical to perform audits and validations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with capability to adapt to audience needs
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities while delivering effective results within tight timelines
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a proven ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team in a collaborative manner
  • Demonstrated customer service focus with ability to forge partnerships within the business
  • Ability to handle information with accuracy, security, and confidentiality  
  • Post-secondary degree with a concentration in Business Administration or Human Resources preferred
  • 2 to 5 years of working experience in Human Resources (CHRP/CHRL designation is preferred)
  • Applied HRIS systems knowledge (SAP preferred) and self-service applications (ESS/MSS)
  • Expert use of Excel
  • Proficient use of other MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Web-based applications
