The Opportunity:
The Sr IT Analyst, Modern Desktop Specialist role is accountable for Supporting, Maintaining and Evolving the technology surround our Microsoft 365 based End user computing environment.
The Successful candidate is someone who thrives in fast passed environments which focus on the latest computing technologies. Someone eager for new challenges. They must possess strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills, adaptable to changing technology and willingness to collaborate.
Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
- Participating in roadmap creation and deployment execution of the latest Microsoft End User computing technologies (Windows Auto-Pilot Deployment, Migration to Cloud Management and Directory Services)
- Configuring & managing a Microsoft 365 Environment
- Participating in Ticket queue activities as third level support while mentoring junior/intermediate team members
- Defining and Maintaining standards for client-based computing technologies (laptops, Desktops, Thin clients, printers etc)
- Identifying and building recommended process improvements
- Leading Projects such as annual Device lifecycle and Version Control / Patch Management
- Maintaining Management tools such as Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager and Windows Intune end point management (Co-Managed environment)
- Participating in Various end user computing projects
What You’ll Bring:
- Passion for Technology.
- A Self starter who is driven and possesses strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Excellent Communication skills (Written and verbal) and ability to communicate to various levels of the organization.
- > 5 years’ experience in a Technical Lead on large scale projects and deployments
- Strong Administrative level understanding of Microsoft based End Point technology management systems (System Center Configuration Manager and Microsoft Intune)
- Strong Administrative understanding of Microsoft Office 365 technologies (specifically Windows, Office, Teams, and Microsoft Teams Rooms)
- Experience Managing on prem and Azure Active Directory
- Experience Creating and Maintaining group policies
- Experience with Microsoft Teams Admin Center
- Comfort in collaborating and engaging with multiple teams and process owners
- Strong Project Management skills as a technical lead
- Ability to travel, Plant visits, meeting with staff or vendors, attending conferences
- Post-secondary degree in computer technology, user experience, business management or other relevant programs or experiences
