Ingredient Coordinator (One-year Term)

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Ingredient Purchaser, the incumbent will be responsible to coordinate all incoming ingredients into the feed mill based on inventory requirements, assist with the local grain sourcing/purchasing as well a supporting the period end inventory deadlines.  The incumbent will have an understanding of logistics and the coordination of activities required to support the team.

Some of the exciting things you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinate all incoming raw materials/ingredients to feed mill including load scheduling
  • Coordinate inventory requirements with production including receiving summaries
  • Issue purchase orders as required
  • Investigate and correct inventory and pricing variances
  • Completion of contract reconciliations
  • Assist with period end inventory deadlines as required
  • Local grain sourcing and purchasing by working closely with Manager, Commodity & Risk Management

What you will bring:
 
  • Post-secondary education in Agriculture, Business Administration or related discipline considered an asset
  • Proven two years experience in either a supply chain or logistics coordinator role
  • Experience within SAP environment preferred
  • Strong analytical, organization and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to communicate (written and oral) and work efficiently with all vendors
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle several complex tasks simultaneously
  • Must possess excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS excel and database management
  • Equivalent combinations of education, experience and training will be considered
  • An ability to live and teach our Maple Leaf Leadership values
