The Opportunity

The Information Solutions Senior Analyst, Microsoft 365 Services role is a full-time position reporting to the Manager, User Experience based out of the Meadowvale campus offices in Mississauga, ON.

Be part of the team managing productivity and collaboration tools that allow our people to focus on doing their best work.  This role is focused on driving execution of strategic and support initiatives, along with managing administration and governance controls over the Microsoft 365 modern platform and other Cloud SaaS.  Expect a high degree of interaction with our end users as you explore requirements, configure solutions, test concepts and influence adoption.   

Other aspects of the team’s service portfolio include enterprise UX services, website management, webcasting services, administration of other Cloud SaaS and innovation research assessments. 


A snapshot of some of the exciting things you will lead and do: 

This role provides a wide variety of hands-on experiences that will keep you engaged and challenged.
  • Design and configure solutions which enable proficient digital processes powered by the Microsoft modern platform (Power Platform, Teams, SharePoint online, etc.)
  • Manage administration of the Microsoft 365 suite of productivity and collaboration applications and Power Platform Centre of Excellence (CoE) to maintain governance standards
  • Lead end user workshops to capture and refine business requirements to translate into solution designs
  • Create intuitive user experiences leveraging tools such as wireframes, process flows, prototypes, information architecture, etc.
  • Coach users to become more proficient with using their digital tools and grow adoption
  • Assess impact of Microsoft solution feature changes and releases
  • Resolve support and incident cases assigned to the team queue within prescribed service level agreements, engaging vendor resources when required
  • Develop user and technical reference materials and provide knowledge transfer to maintain a sustainable support model
  • Comply with organizational change and release management process to maintain integrity in our solutions
  • Perform System Integration Testing (SIT) or facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on solutions
  • Research and test new concepts and use-cases to evaluate the business case rationale for implementation
  • Collaborate with web development resources where back-end development is required as part of the solution
  • Limited travel to support project initiatives may be required periodically
  • Other duties as assigned

What you will bring:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate their design concepts and conduct knowledge transfer of key concepts in simple terms or imagery end users can comprehend
  • High empathy, likes problem solving and organizing chaos to structure solutions that deliver value and drive adoption 
  • Well organized and proficient, able to work independently on complex tasks and manage backlog priorities
  • Microsoft certification or recent experience in managing Power Platform, Teams, and SharePoint Online highly desirable
  • Applied experience in design and configuration of modern Microsoft solutions for business processes supporting a consumer-packaged goods industry
  • Experience and knowledge of agile delivery methodology and tools (e.g. Azure DevOps)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft’s modern toolkit (SPFx, Themes, Site Designs, Teams Template, UI fabric, adaptive cards, Custom Teams Apps & Connectors) or other programming skills (PowerShell, SharePoint Online cmdlets, Microsoft Teams cmdlets, SharePoint PnP cmdlets, Azure AD cmdlets, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, or responsive web design) beneficial
  • Familiarity with Microsoft’s SharePoint Migration Tool and/or ShareGate cloud management tool nice to have  
  • Prior use of BMC Remedy / Smart IT or similar ticket management tools helpful, training will be provided
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related business field, or 5+ years relevant work experience
