The Opportunity

 The Information Solutions Analyst, Microsoft 365 Services role is a full-time position reporting to the Manager, User Experience based out of the Meadowvale campus offices in Mississauga, ON.  

Be part of the team managing Microsoft productivity and collaboration tools that allow our people to focus on doing their best work.  Advance your technical knowledge of the Microsoft platform and hone coaching skills to aide users.  Working in collaboration with senior members of the team, this role is focused on support initiatives to grow adoption and keep enterprise applications in top shape.  

Other aspects of the team’s services portfolio include enterprise UX services, website management, webcasting services, administration of other Cloud SaaS and innovation research assessments. 


A snapshot of some of the exciting things you will lead and do: 

This role provides a wide variety of hands-on experiences to introduce and build technical competencies across the Microsoft modern platform and strengthen confidence when interacting with end users.

  • Resolve support and incident cases logged by users is a priority focus, along with Ticket Captain duties to ensure team’s commitments stay within service level agreement expectations

  • Test and raise awareness of new feature releases provided by Microsoft

  • Support application administrative duties for the Microsoft platform (Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, etc.) and other supporting applications

  • Participate in Microsoft’s Champion program and draw on relevant resources to promote adoption

  • Craft internal communication campaigns to raise awareness and skill proficiency using a variety of mediums – SharePoint, news articles, knowledge articles, emails, webinars, videos, Yammer posts, etc.

  • Participate in end user workshops to capture and refine business requirements

  • Support creation of wireframes, prototypes or other technical documentation for custom solutions

  • Perform System Integration Testing (SIT) or facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for solutions

  • Research and test new concepts or use-cases to evaluate the business case

  • Other duties as assigned

What you will bring:

 A keen interest to become a Microsoft Champion and work on professional growth.  
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related business field, or 3+ years relevant work experience
  • Competency with using Microsoft apps – SharePoint, Teams and Power Platform of particular interest; certification preferred
  • Aptitude for picking up new technology skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering quality customer service
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to explain concepts in simple terms or visuals for non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with BMC Remedy / Smart IT or similar ticket management tools is beneficial
  • Highly collaborative nature, open to sharing and receiving information and feedback
  • High empathy, likes problem solving and organizing tasks
  • Well organized and proficient, able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Awareness or basic knowledge of Microsoft’s modern toolkit (SPFx, Themes, Site Designs, Teams Template, UI fabric, adaptive cards, Custom Teams Apps & Connectors) or programming tools (PowerShell, SharePoint Online cmdlets, Microsoft Teams cmdlets, SharePoint PnP cmdlets, Azure AD cmdlets, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, or responsive web design) nice to have
