The Opportunity

 The Facilities Associates work closely together to execute shipping and receiving duties. The Associates are responsible for shipping and receiving time sensitive food products, handling high value assets and priority international shipments. The Associates will be fluent in using SAP & SRM, UPS WorldShip System and use it daily. Other responsibilities will include sorting mail, monitoring facilities supplies, and general facilities support.

A snapshot of some of the exciting things you will lead and do: 
  • Receive shipments and label, store and notify owner for pick up

  • Receive product samples and place in the appropriate cooler/freezer. Advise owner of the shipment via e-mail, indicating the shipments arrival & storage location

  • Receive purchase orders through SAP or SRM. Ensure packing slips are sent to the purchasing coordinator. Complete reversals in SAP as required

  • Process outgoing overnight couriers using UPS WorldShip system. Shipments can include but not limited to high value, food product (using dry ice) and international priority

  • Complete all necessary customs paperwork for outbound U.S product shipments

  • Coordinate urgent and same day shipments

  • Maintain photocopy stations with appropriate supplies (such as copy paper) and cleanliness

  • Deliver and collect moving/shredding bins

  • Sort and process Canada Post mail

  • Work with Records Governance Manager for all shredding, storage and retrieval of documents

  • Complete ergonomic assessments, consult with Manager, National - Ergonomics, provide suggested solution(s) to involved departments

  • Support the rest of the facilities team as needed

What you will bring:
  • High school diploma

  • Office experience in facilities, health and safety and shipping/receiving preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work with multiple tasks and interruptions

  • Knowledge to operate basic office equipment

  • Capacity to problem solve and troubleshoot in the moment

  • Able to lift 50lbs
