Sr. Analyst Customer Fulfillment

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Key contact for Walmart for all supply chain activities including forecasting, logistics and inventory flow.
  • Through interaction with other ML Supply Chain functions (CSC, Transportation, Supply Planning, etc.) own the proactive planning of supply chain activities including resolution of issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with the Demand Planner to co-lead the Supply Chain collaborative process (forecasting & execution). This role specifically owns the customer execution of the agreed upon demand plan.
  • Monitor and mitigate risk of execution against key promotional activity with customer.
  • Extract insights from how customer replenishment systems and processes function to enable delivery of constantly improving results.
  • Lead communication and elevation point with customer on significant shortages that CSCRs cannot resolve including resolution with the customer of any short-term product availability disruptions. .
  • Lead execution of new item launches / delists with customer’s supply chain or replenishment team.
  • Assess and report on the impact to Maple Leaf Foods of any customer policy regarding supplier performance levels, particularly as it relates to compliance or incentive programs. Initiate actions to increase compliance where needed.
  • Assist in education and coaching of the order management team as it relates to customer specific behaviour and relationship.
  • Publish value-added scorecards on key supply chain metrics (fill rate, unitization, collaboration, shelf life, fines) and drive improvements to improve on time and in full, waste reduction and reduced cost-to-serve.
  • Work with the Customer Fulfillment Director to provide strategic and tactical influential leadership to the customer on supply chain best practice, focusing on supporting Maple Leaf Foods volume growth plans while delivering product on-time and in full minimizing food waste.
  • Analyze customer inventory levels, outbound fill rates and other customer supply chain KPIs to provide insight and recommendations to the customer as an advisor.
  • Elevate concerns of excess inventory levels for Sales and hold sales leadership accountable to create a sell through plan to mitigate excess inventory.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3 years’ experience in a leadership or analyst role (preferably Supply Chain related in a Consumer Packaged Goods company)
  • Undergraduate degree or college diploma (preference in a related field)
  • Strong alignment with Maple Leaf Values
  • Ability to travel to customer locations when required.
  • Exceptional coaching skills
  • Demonstrates a perspective and knowledge base that spans cross functional areas. Thorough understanding of Customer Supply Chain and Sales/Commercial organization strategies and policies.
