Well, the Leadership Track Program at Maple Leaf Foods is the perfect fit! Think of Maple Leaf Foods as a billion-dollar startup in the food industry with the resources to fuel your ideas.

What will you be working on? 

The Leadership Track Graduate Program is Maple Leaf Foods’ early leadership rotational development program for talented, driven, and ambitious graduates. Participants in this three-year rotational program will develop leadership and cross-functional expertise in preparation to be a future Maple Leaf Foods leader.

The program consists of three diverse and meaningful roles across the following areas:

  • One year in an Operations role (Production, Health and Safety, Food Safety Quality Assurance, Engineering, Six Sigma, Supply Chain), gaining hands-on experience and developing on-the-job supervisory skills.

  • One year in a Commercial, Sales, or Marketing role, immersing in our commercial organization with the opportunity to be externally focused and customer centric. You will learn how to excel at customer relationships and use data to support decision-making to drive our sales and increase profit margins. Participation in the entire client service cycle includes brand and category management, customer insights and analytics, integrated communications (Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management).

  • One year in Support functions that impact and drive the business (Finance, Information Solutions, Human Resources, Purchasing, Strategy, Project Management Office, etc.).

Rotations are across Canada and potentially in our US facilities.

Who are we looking for? 

  • Fourth-year graduates from university – The program will start in summer/fall of 2026

  • Passionate and committed to manufacturing and operations.

  • Strong affiliation with Maple Leaf’s Leadership Values.

  • Flexible and willing to relocate to take advantage of the best opportunities across Canada and US with the expectation to be in office at least 4 days a week.

  • Demonstrated leadership through work experiences, volunteer roles, community activities, and sports.

  • High degree of energy and initiative demonstrated through involvement in school, clubs, community services, and sports.

  • Exceptional communication skills.

  • Team player, with the ability to build and maintain working relationships.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

What can I expect from the recruitment process? 

  • A mandatory in-person recruitment experience on December 1, 2025, where you will meet senior leaders from across our business.

  • An opportunity to attend an intimate virtual fireside chat with two esteemed graduates of the LT program who will share their own career journey and answer any questions you may have.

  • An offer to join the program following the in-person interviews.
