  1. For Non-Stocking Products -                                                                                                                        
Satisfy requests for repair materials for equipment and building needs as required. This can or will include:
  • Prioritizing individual material requests
  • Sourcing for any needed materials
  • Creating SRM Purchasing requisitions for said materials
  • Placing orders with approved vendors
  • Co-ordinating with Central Purchasing for new vendor creations (if required)
  • Scheduling incoming shipments
  • Rescheduling shipments as repair requirements change
  • Expediting delinquent orders 
  • Notification of material due dates to stakeholder (Maintenance Supervisor)           
 For Stocking Products
1.  Review SAP replenishment requisitions and place orders as required using above steps  
2. Work with Corporate Purchasing to ensure catalogues are updated  
3. Working with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies 
4. Work with Health & Safety Representative to ensure all materials Purchased for maintenance and plant use meet minimum safety requirements and have correct & updated information (WHMIS).
5. Work with CFIA to ensure that all materials purchased for plant use meet CFIA requirements and keep documentation of same. 
6.  Other Duties as assigned

  • 3-5 years business experience
  • 1-2 years purchasing experience
  • Post-Secondary education
  • Diploma in Purchasing will be an advantage
  • Working knowledge of  SAP/SRM systems
  • 3-5 years technical/parts experience
  • Effectively able to communicate (verbally & written) in the English language to both suppliers and co-workers in a professional/business manner
