  • Modern Microsoft Office 365 solutions for the workforce, with a focus on group collaboration with Teams, SharePoint Online and Skype for Business 
  • Introduce new mobile tools for user groups with digital forms and workflows built with O365 Power Apps, Flow or other applications to replace paper-based or incongruous business processes 
  • Explore how other modern technology such as conversational agents, artificial intelligence and more can be applied to solve business problems and user pain points 
  • Grow adoption and support change management for User Experience initiatives 
  • Contribute to evolving the User Experience practice 
 The position reports to the IS Director, User Experience (UX) and is part of a group who is passionate about helping people get the most out of their technology.

The unofficial title of ‘Ambassador of Awesome is up for grabs…  
  • Mastermind behind change management and communications plans and execution to ensure the right people know the right things, at the right moment to adopt the new behaviours  
  • Discover what people really need from their tech tools; facilitate interviews and workshops to define clear user stories and functional requirements so our developers hit the mark with creating business value and generate “this is better than I imagined” reviews 
  • Manage the ‘Genius Bar’ program helping newcomers become proficient with their digital tools, teach old dogs new tricks, and boost conversion for project deployments    
  • Coaching and mentoring individuals or groups at all levels across the organization, including Digital Innovation Barn co-op students    
  • Consultation on User Experience perspectives and change management for IS project initiatives 
  • Ambassador for Yammer, fostering usage by putting our advice into practice and tapping into the social network  
  • Manage support call and change requests submitted to the UX queue 
  • Act as product owner for software as a service (SaaS) tools such as BrainStorm and Checkbox Survey 
  • Know our audience by continually evolving the definitions of our user personas, their pain points and journey maps  
  • Contribute to evolving the User Experience practice keeping current with the latest industry trends, research and leading practices in the technology space

What you will bring:
  • Leverages active listening, interviewing and observation skills to strengthen understanding and empathy while minimizing personal bias 
  • Craft effective storytelling to build understanding and compel action 
  • Accomplished presenter with executive presence, able to relate with a variety of audiences 
  • High emotional intelligence and indirect influencing skills, able to handle objections and overcome resistance to change 
  • Patience in dealing with people who may struggle with their new digital behaviours 
  • High proficiency with use of Microsoft’s core productivity applications (Office 365, SharePoint Online) and adept at picking up new technology 
  • Strong project management competencies able to lead initiatives, create project schedules, manage issues and risks, and deliver reporting to PMO 
  • A highly collaborative individual, with a strong team orientation bias 
  • 5+ years work experience in IS/IT or related field 
  • University Degree or equivalent work experience with Business Administration and/or Computer Sciences  
  • Intermediate+ skill level with design thinking and user-centered design principles; bonus for user-experience certification such as Nielsen Norman Group or like 
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and change management best practices  
  • Experience working in an Agile framework; scrum master or product owner  
  • Communications savviness, build and deliver messages with mastery 
  • Deployment of O365 Teams or familiarity with using SharePoint a strong asset   
  • Bilingualism (English, French) is an asset but not a requirement, however patience and ability to translate tech-anese in simple terms for the non-technical consumer is a must
