 Senior Finance Analyst, Prepared Meats Operations
 
The Opportunity:
The Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for reporting on the manufacturing finance function with ad hoc requests and analysis. This person works with the Plant Finance Managers, Central Costing and also requires interactions with all areas of finance such as A/P, A/R, Procurement, Accounting and Category Finance.  Success in this position will be achieved by consistently demonstrating the leadership edge values.  This position reports directly to the Finance Manager, PM Operations.
 
A snap shot of some of the exciting things you will lead and do:
  • Reports and provide explanations on raw material PPV, COP and any other manufacturing variance questions
  • Weekly Reporting: Consolidate weekly KPI’s and vitals and provide insight to drivers of variance
  • Month Ends: Support month-end closing process, reconciling raw material PPV, ensuring the GL is balanced with all of the Plant submissions and providing explanations of manufacturing variances.
  • Forecast and Budget process: COP update in the planning environment and provide COP COC that supports the drivers of change
  • Be active and participate in ad hoc projects as assigned

 What you will bring:
  • A minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting or finance discipline
  • A professional accounting designation and/or sound knowledge of accounting principles
  • Exposure to an SAP environment would be an asset
  • Proven ability to analyze issues, think strategically and develop resourceful solutions
  • Well organized, with strong prioritization skills allowing the management of multiple competing tasks
  • Strong and effective communication skills and the ability to interact well with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to continuously improve processes and deliver on planned objectives
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (excel) skills and strong system skills preferably in SAP
