The incumbent performs electrical maintenance, servicing, repairing, rebuilding, and installation of food processing and packaging equipment.  This includes troubleshooting, problem solving, and preventive maintenance to building systems and/or processing equipment with working knowledge of mechanical requirements in order to allow efficient repair or replacement. Our Electrician rate is $39.36/hour, with a $0.40/hour night shift premium.

Responsible to ensure daily operation of all plant production equipment including:
  • Electrical equipment (AC Drives, power control circuits, starters, MCC's, motors)
  • Microprocessor based systems (PLC's, Electronic circuits, controls)
  • Instrumentation (pneumatic controls, transducers, servos)
  • Communication and Data Systems (closed circuit TV, timekeeping
  • Actively participate in our electrical preventive, maintenance program on processing equipment daily
  • Recommend and implement corrective action and required repairs
  • Assist in planning, organizing of work activities (drawing interpretation, parts preparation)
  • Perform repairs to building mechanical systems as required
  • Equipment troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Conduct Planned Preventive & Predictive Maintenance and keep maintenance records.
  • Use of computerized maintenance management system
  • Understand and adhere to all plant Food/Health and Safety Polices.
  • Trades Certification (Red Seal) required
  • Minimum three years of experience, preferable in a food production facility
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to organize and plan daily tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Highly motivated – able to work well with minimal supervision
  • Good mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Available for weekend overtime as production demands require
