Operator - Courtneypark (Mississauga) Afternoon Shift
 
The successful applicant must:
  • Set Up, tear down maintenance and troubleshooting of pack off equipment
  • Report any problems that occur during the process to the Weights & Measures Shift Leader and Supervisor
  • Visually inspect the line and its surroundings for any concerns of possible food safety hazards
  • Achieve the quality of product that meets the customer needs
  • Adjustments of the weights to insure customer specifications
  • Verify materials against SOPs and supply the areas of the line.
  • Able to adjustment / change over the equipment as required.
  • Balance throughputs to avoid overloading workstations and under loading the others.
  • Organize employees in the area to maximize the best use of manpower and equipment.
  • Ensure all operations are in compliance with GMPs, GDP, HACCP, Health & Safety and WHMIS requirements.
  • Roll stock tracking
  • Ensure that all date codes are correct and verified
  • Comply and promote safe work habits and adherence to all policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

 Shift Requirements:
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a structured and goal driven production environment.
  • Hands on in operation of equipment, line setup, trouble shooting and correcting basic problems.
  • The successful candidate must possess a mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read, speak and write English
  • Team player.
  • Flexibility to work shift as scheduled.
  • Effective organizational and work planning skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  •   Require heavy lifting and pushing.
  • Successfully pass in-house Math and English Tests.
  • Ability to complete all required paper work
  • Knowledge of Computer systems and programs – SAP, Microsoft office
  • Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work shift as scheduled.
