T
he Data Analytics Analyst, Revenue Management is responsible for providing analytics on pricing, commercial investments and general business performance to supporting the Revenue Management team in putting together strong strategy recommendations for the business. With a combination of analytical expertise, data and system knowledge and business acumen, you will support the Analytics Manager in answering and anticipating critical business questions and opportunities and delivering critical insights.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage Data Warehousing knowledge to integrate data from multiple sources to evaluate promotional effectiveness (Nielsen, customer POS, internal shipments, Feature Vision, etc) and maintain database of all promotional activities
  • Helps design, build and support BI reports, dashboards and other forms of user facing analytical functionality using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerBI.
  • Work with 3rd parties to maintain outsourced analytic platforms (Nielsen, Cornerstone, FeatureVision, etc)
  • Develop, maintain and troubleshoot advanced analytic tools such as Marketing Mix/Price & Promotion models, PowerBI dashboards, Excel and SAP Hana databases
 Preferred Hiring Criteria:
  • Post-secondary degree in Business/Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics or related disciplines.
  • A background in Business Analytics, Data Science, Marketing, finance roles an asset
  • Very strong MS Excel, VBA skills
  • Database experience (SQL, M-Script, DAX)
  • Previous experience with SAP, Nielsen and other POS data an asset
  • Experience with analytic tools (R, SAS, JMP, Python, etc) to build advanced insights across a variety of data an asset
  • Previous experience with data visualization software such as MS PowerBI or Tableau an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated personal leadership
  • Must demonstrate drive, curiosity and critical thinking
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Strong numerical comprehension and adeptness at analyzing and interpreting data is essential
  • Ability to simply communicate complex ideas, both verbally and in written form
  • Exceptional ability to manage time, set priorities, and make decisions under pressure
  • Able to function both independently and in a team environment
