FINANCE ANALYST - MANUFACTURING AND SUPPLY CHAIN 

POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of the Field Roast / Lightlife finance team the Finance Analyst – Manufacturing and Supply Chain will be a key support member to the Operations team, proving tracking, analysis, and insights relating to freight and storage rates, and all inflationary cost pressures within the business.  Also, this role will include centralized management and control over all manufacturing bill of material maintenance for our two production facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Perform month-end activities including accruals, allocations, adjusting entries, etc.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly reporting for Freight and Storage, including variance explanations and cost trackers
  • Play a key role in the annual budgeting and forecasting process including updating templates and interacting with business leaders to obtain their inputs. Maintain and update planning freight and storage model used for standard rates.
  • Play a key role in the annual budgeting and forecast process on cost of product, performing analysis on all cost movements including product changes, inflation, etc.
  • Maintain the standard F&S rates in SAP and act as a key point of contact with respect to any questions. Work closely with commercial teams on distribution estimates.
  • Investigate Freight & Storage variances, analyze trends and provide explanation to management.
  • Maintain all bills of material in SAP for two production facilities.
  • Provide Ad Hoc reporting and support requests from various areas of the business
  • Provide support in various analytical initiatives and cost saving projects
 REQUIRED BACKGROUND & SKILLS:
  • College education in a finance/business related program is required
  • 1-3+ years of progressive finance experience in an ERP environment
  • Strong analytic and advanced problem solving
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial functions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with cost accounting, budgeting and internal controls.
