The starting wage is $17.49 which increases to $19.43 after six of employment. Maple Leaf Foods supplies all necessary safety equipment at no cost to the employee (Probationary period must be met for boot reimbursement). The lead hand will support the Chick Room Supervisor in planning, performing and coordinating daily chick production operations at the Hanover Hatchery.
Support the Chick Room Supervisor in:
  •         Planning and coordinating chick room production operations
  •         Providing day to day direction to chick room and delivery staff
  •         Monitoring and analyzing production results and making recommendations and/or adjustments as necessary
  •         Scheduling daily production and chick deliveries
  •         Working with Chick Sales Coordinator to meet customers’ requests
  •         Monitoring chick quality at all stages
  •         Communicating and supporting HACCP, Health & Safety and other legislated requirements
  •         Promoting positive employee relations
  •         SAP Data Entry
  •         Other duties as assigned
