As Marketing Director, you'll operate as the General Manager of a growing business—shaping long-term strategy, identifying new sources of consumer demand, building a breakthrough innovation pipeline and making investment decisions that will define the next chapter of growth.
You'll partner across Brand, Revenue Growth Management, Sales, Supply Chain and Operations to unlock new opportunities and build a category that is redefining how Canadians snack and eat. Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
- Lead one of Maple Leaf's highest-growth businesses by setting the strategic direction, investment priorities and innovation agenda that will unlock the portfolio's full potential.
- Develop a deep understanding of evolving consumer behaviours, customer needs and emerging food occasions to identify new sources of growth and build a bold multi-year innovation pipeline.
- Own the portfolio's performance across Retail and Foodservice in Canada and the U.S., delivering market share, volume, profitability and long-term business growth.
- Lead the annual business planning process, balancing consumer opportunity, customer priorities, pricing, supply, investment decisions and P&L performance to maximize growth, profitability, and strengthen competitive advantage.
- Collaborate with Sales and key customers to translate consumer insight into winning category strategies that drive mutual growth.
- Partner across Brand, Product Development, Revenue Growth Management, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance to bring breakthrough products to market and execute with excellence.
- Align senior leaders behind a shared growth agenda, influencing key decisions that accelerate business performance.
- Lead with agility in a rapidly evolving category, making bold, fact-based decisions that position the business for long-term success.
Candidate Profile:
What You’ll Bring:
- 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience within CPG, food, retail or adjacent consumer industries, with increasing responsibility for brand, category or business leadership.
- Proven success leading category strategy, innovation and portfolio growth.
- Demonstrated experience managing a P&L and making commercial investment decisions.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong cross-functional leadership with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across the organization.
