 The Opportunity:

 As a key member of the Brand team, the Brand Marketing Associate plays an integral role in building some of Canada's most iconic and trusted food brands. This role is ideal for a curious, commercially minded marketer who is passionate about consumers, creativity, and driving business growth.

You’ll help bring brand strategies to life; from breakthrough communications and innovation launches to shopper marketing, packaging, digital content, and business analytics. You'll gain exposure to every aspect of brand management while developing the strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and modern marketing capabilities needed to become a future brand leader.

Compensation:   $71,000 - $103,000 CAD base pay annually plus annual short-term incentive

The above compensation reflects the target compensation for the position at the time of posting. The base salary offered may vary based on a variety of factors including skills, experience, education, training, job- related knowledge, and other organizational requirements. For part-time roles, salaries are adjusted according to scheduled hours.  In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to participate in Maple Leaf’s annual short-term incentive plan. 

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Act as a steward of our brands, ensuring every consumer touchpoint including communications, media, packaging, innovation, digital content and shopper marketing remains true to clearly defined brand strategies, positioning and visual identity.
  • Support the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, partnering with agencies and cross-functional teams to deliver breakthrough consumer communications from insight through launch and post-campaign evaluation.
  • Lead the planning, execution and performance tracking of digital and social content across owned channels, using analytics and consumer insights to continuously optimize performance.
  • Partner with Shopper Marketing and Sales teams to develop national and customer-specific marketing programs that balance strong brand execution with customer strategies, capturing learnings to continuously improve future programs.
  • Collaborate with Category Marketing, Innovation and agency teams to bring new products and packaging updates to market, ensuring brand consistency and compelling consumer communication across multiple categories.
  • Analyze business performance, consumer insights and marketing effectiveness using Nielsen, shipment data, campaign KPIs and other analytics to identify opportunities and develop recommendations that strengthen brand performance.
  • Support annual brand planning by contributing to key business reviews, strategic priorities, marketing plans and integrated activation calendars that drive long-term brand growth.
  • Build strong partnerships across Category Marketing, Sales, Shopper Marketing, Finance, Insights, Supply Chain and agency teams to ensure initiatives are commercially grounded and flawlessly executed.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating timelines, budgets, approvals and cross-functional deliverables to ensure initiatives are delivered efficiently and on schedule.
  • Demonstrate sound financial discipline by supporting budget management, invoice processing, forecasting and investment tracking to maximize the effectiveness of marketing spend.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Brand Marketing, Shopper Marketing, or a marketing agency environment
  • A passion for building brands, understanding consumers and creating meaningful marketing that drives business results.
  • Strong commercial curiosity with an ability to interpret data, identify insights and translate them into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships across cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and comfortable balancing both strategic thinking and flawless execution.
  • Results-oriented, proactive and adaptable, with a continuous learning mindset and a bias for action.
