The Opportunity:
The Financial Analyst will provide financial oversight and internal control leadership for Maintenance Spare Parts (MRO) and overhead spend within Prepared Meats operations. This role partners closely with Maintenance, Reliability, and Plant Operations to identify risk, strengthen controls, and improve cost transparency—ensuring strong governance, accurate reporting, and disciplined spend management.

Base Salary: $58,000 – $87,000 CAD base pay annually
Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
- Own financial controls and governance for the Maintenance Spare Parts (MRO) process, including inventory integrity, work order costing, obsolescence, and compliance with corporate policies.
- Analyze maintenance‑related overheads, identify cost and control risks, and clearly communicate root causes and corrective actions to operations leadership.
- Ensure spare parts are accurately issued to work orders in SAP, minimizing inventory adjustments, unsupported spend, and audit risk.
- Lead finance oversight of slow‑moving and obsolete spare parts, including review, provisioning, and disposition.
- Support correct accounting and controls for capitalizable spare parts, where applicable.
- Contribute to period‑end close, balance sheet reviews, and audit support related to maintenance and overhead accounts.
- Drive continuous improvement by linking process compliance to financial outcomes and cost discipline.
What You’ll Bring:
- Post‑secondary education in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
- Experience in manufacturing finance, cost analysis, inventory controls, or internal controls (SAP experience preferred).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risk, investigate variances, and influence cross‑functional partners.
- Clear communicator who can translate data into actionable insights for non‑finance stakeholders.
