EWM Inventory Supervisor

Winnipeg - Lagimodiere Blvd., MB

 The Opportunity:

The incumbent will play a key part in connecting Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing, and Distribution to ensure seamless product flow and accurate inventory information. Reporting to the Distribution Manager, the position is responsible for maintaining timely and accurate inventory information of physical inventory details, volumes, and movements. The role works closely with Processed Meats (ham and bacon), Fresh Pork, and Quality Assurance teams to support cross-functional coordination. It also involves managing and controlling inventory through SAP, managing and controlling inventory, running reports, analyzing data, and investigating discrepancies to maintain system integrity and operational efficiency.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Manage and control all pork inventory, all fresh and frozen pork stored at Lagimodiere DC.
  • Manage and control all Prepared Meats inventory including all processed hams, fresh / frozen sausage and all bacon in the warehouse.
  • Manage rogue HU's, investigate and adjust as needed.
  • Manage cycle counts for both the freezer and the cooler, all discrepancies are to be investigated fully. Ensure all required adjustments are justified and approved by manager prior to making the adjustment.
  • Ensure proper product rotation at all times. Only exception is customer min date requirement.
  • Investigate internal inventory issues (EWM).
  • Receiving of all inbound STOs, ensure physical receiving matches paperwork and what is in the system.
  • Working closely with QA to place products on Cooler Hold in EWM and remove from EWM Cooler Hold once QA has given the approval.
  • Work directly with QA on traceably exercises, provide reports as required.
  • Scrapping of product in SAP…. product that is damaged or temperature abuse.
  • Scrapping of production inventory at the request of Finance.
  • Manage all returned products, ensure physical receiving matches paperwork.
  • Manage all re-sales in transit requests from Sales or Customer Service.
  • Manage all cross-dock volumes, segregate, track and monitor KGS by locations to ensure charge back to correct accounts.
  • Work directly with the EWM management team to correct all P1 Issues, help find root cause and preventative measures.
  • Complete new material set up in EWM and execute ECR’s.
  • Complete monthly metrics, send to management for review and submit before deadline.
  • Work closely with receiving facilities to manage any discrepancies they have at time of receiving. Investigate these discrepancies with shipping supervisors.
  • Manage Year End Inventory, physical counts must be done and match system inventory.
  • EWM Super User supports and assists other facilities and functional areas.
  • Assist Plant production/finance with SAP processes.
  • Enter USA 3PL STOs when requested and update USA Tracker
  • Monitor Queue errors throughout the day; investigate and correct at needed.
  • Other Project work as assigned by Management

What You’ll Bring:

  • Minimum high school diploma; post‑secondary education is an asset.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a distribution environment or in inventory control/management.
  • Experience with SAP is an asset.
  • Positive attitude and respectful approach in all interactions.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Confidence and competence in working with computer systems.
  • A strong bias for action and proactive problem‑solving.
  • Solid analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
