Finance Analyst - Central Costing (Contract)

Mississauga - Financial Dr., ON

 The Opportunity:

The Finance Analyst is responsible for providing central costing support to the Prepared Meats operating unit.  This position offers an opportunity to develop standard costing expertise in an SAP environment and provides broad cross-functional exposure with regular interaction with marketing, product development, plant finance, and commercial finance.  This position reports to the Finance Manager, Central Costing.

Base Salary:   $58,000 – $87,000 CAD base pay annually

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Responsible for setting up standard costs for new products/materials in SAP
  • Validate all standard cost submissions and entries into SAP for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls by tracking all standard cost changes and obtaining necessary approvals
  • Create monthly cost of product files for the manufacturing plants
  • Supports reporting and analysis of plant operating results as required
  • Support cost of product budget process

What You’ll Bring:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a finance/business related program
  • 1+ years of finance experience in an ERP environment (SAP preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non- financial functions
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to innovate and drive improvements within a team environment
