The Opportunity:
The Technical Services Representative provides on-farm technical support to broiler producers within RWA/Organic programs, driving flock health, performance, and continuous improvement. This role serves as a key liaison between producers, sales and procurement teams, live operations, and external industry partners, delivering best-practice management guidance, troubleshooting technical challenges, and supporting the adoption of new emerging technologies for continuous improvement of our programs. The position requires frequent farm-to-farm travel, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to communicate complex or sensitive information in a calm, solution-focused manner.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
- Key on farm contact for the Raised Without Antibiotics and Organic Programs focused management best practices and technology transfer to both our customers and the sales and procurement team.
- Key point person for the sales and procurement representatives for maximizing RWA/Organic broiler performance and management of technical issues.
- Overall responsibility for on farm management of the RWA/Organic Program and Protocols, and all other potential further live differentiation initiatives.
- Responsible for evaluation and implementation of management techniques and emerging technologies that improve field performance.
- Support Technical Services Supervisor with feed companies on nutritional or protocol aspects as it relates to our RWA program.
- Establishes strong cross-functional relationships with Sales & Procurement representatives, Quality, and Live Operations Analysts, providing technical guidance and support to team members as needed
- Responsible for developing the placement and shipping schedule working closely with the sales team to meet our retail commitments.
- When required, coordination of on farm RWA supplies and equipment.
- Strong working external relationships with producers, feed representatives, third party suppliers, and other industry stakeholders.
- Maintains composure during challenging producer interactions, communicating technical issues and solution-oriented recommendations effectively
- Accountable for continuous improvement of the RWA Program, focus on taking cost out while improving field performance.

What You’ll Bring:
- Post-secondary education or University Degree preferably in Agriculture, Animal Science, Business or related field (or equivalent work experience) preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in a poultry sales or technical role.
- Strong working knowledge of animal science, nutrition, and broiler management best practices including experience managing the on-farm core concepts of raising broiler chickens without antibiotics.
- Strong demonstration of initiative through proactive customer contact to identify improvement opportunities and deliver measurable results
- Strong analytical, time management and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to drive sales initiatives and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated strong commitment to the Maple Leaf’s Leadership Edge Values.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good presentation skills with an ability to influence others
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- High level of computer competency including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
