The Opportunity:
The Senior Analyst – Operations Execution is a key role in the Maple Leaf London plant. As a member of the on-site London Planning team, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for capacity assessment, plan execution, and manufacturing metrics at the London site. This driven, thoughtful, and collaborative individual will lead communications across the facility to ensure customer needs are prioritized, while simultaneously leading a data-driven approach to manufacturing optimization and continuous improvement.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
- Validate production plan completion vs. schedule and troubleshoot variances to plan with operations leaders
- Anticipate approaching plan fulfilment issues and take action to mitigate, engaging with cross functional partners both within the plant and across the MLF network to ensure customer needs are met
- Owner of the capacity plan for the London plant
- Monitor plant performance and production data to ensure assets are online and performing to expectations
- Generate KPI reports for leadership review including Excel, PowerBI and other data centered reports
- Maintain production/scheduling master data for piece weights, quality entitlement, throughput rates & yields.
- Administer planning & production tools and forms. Manage updates and maintenance of master data which drives these tools.
- Key User for manufacturing systems/software integrations
- Support and lead Continuous Improvement projects through supporting analytics and participating in events (such as Kaizens) to further the goals of the plant’s Operations Excellence waste elimination pillar.
- Execute floor level studies relevant to current projects or new opportunities to define pipeline opportunities.
POSITION OUTCOMES:
- Key priorities and change requirements understood by operations team to achieve schedule and meet operational standard throughput rates
- Fill rate, volume & profit optimization of fresh chicken supply
- Integration of data from live receipt through outbound shipment in the London facility leveraging key software investments
- Roadmap maintained and actioned on facility continuous improvement opportunities
- Achievement of annual financial and business targets (i.e. Raw Material Utilization, Yield performance, OEE, etc)
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience in manufacturing operations (preferably fresh meat processing)
- Proficient in MS Office Software (particularly Excel) preferred
- Experience using SAP (or similar ERP system) an asset
- 4-8 years of experience in a related role
- Excellent analytical, planning and organizational skills
- Ability to operate and learn independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of making difficult prioritization decisions based on evolving manufacturing and customer service needs
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Outstanding change management and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to build a strong working relationship with other functional teams including production and sales stakeholders
