Associate Product Developer

Mississauga - Financial Dr., ON

 The Opportunity:

The Associate Product Developer plays an integral role in supporting our Commercial business through proactive engagement and execution of projects.  This role responsible for leading and execution of assigned projects in the new innovations, cost savings and new technologies across all categories. It primarily includes activities in the pilot plant and bench top prototyping ensuring the product brief, cost targets, brand standards and customer requirements are achieved through profound understanding of systems, business processes and manufacturing capabilities while interfacing with the cross-functional teams.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Pilot Plant: Support all activities related to Protein Development Center (pilot plant) as required to meet product launch and cost savings timelines.
  • Cost Savings & New Technologies: Support cost-savings and new technology initiatives by leading product testing at the pilot plant and provide support in product related activities like concept validation, sensory approvals, plant trials and commercial production.
  • Equipment upkeep: Should be able to learn and operate pilot plant equipment’s and ensure their upkeep and general maintenance.
  • Inventory Control: Manage pilot plant and test kitchen material inventory and generate PO’s in the system as required.
  • Problem Solving: Utilize technical knowledge in food science, protein functionality, and processing to troubleshoot challenges and drive continuous improvement in product design.
