FSQA Systems Analyst

Hamilton, ON

 The Opportunity:

The Quality Systems MES/SAP Analyst will be responsible for maintaining the master data such as specifications and set points. They will analyze and interpret the data to be used for process improvement, quality and food safety monitoring and root cause analysis.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Work with IS on the development of system modules, training materials and end-user support.
  • Point of contact for reviewing all food safety and quality ECRs sent to the plant.
  • Accommodate quality related process or product changes within the systems such as maintaining product SOPs and SOPs.
  • Support HACCP and food safety program functions, such as SAP-RD
  • Participate in plant internal audits and 3rd party audits.
  • Provide support in SOP and form revisions as required.
  • Participate in food safety training such as GMP, CCP/PCP Training and other required training by the HACCP Team.
  • Participate in operational work stream meetings, identifying business requirements and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to support the design of end-user tasks.
  • Plant point person for non-conformance reporting within SAP Quality Management module.
  • Participate in key user network meetings and share learning's.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for shop floor interfaces.
  • Work closely with IS and manufacturing for system testing.
  • Support end-users and other team leaders in daily reconciliation efforts.
  • Look for opportunities to use systems and data to move quality and food safety to a predictive state.
  • Shop floor data analysis, trending and KPI.
  • Shall demonstrate full commitment to the implementation of the requirements of the Global Standard for Food Safety and to processes which facilitate continual improvement of food safety and quality management.
  • Other duties as required by the team. 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Diploma in Operations Management, Business Administration, Systems or related field.
  • Food Safety, Quality and/or Food Manufacturing experience would be an asset
  • Strong systems and business analytical skills along with process thinking skills.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Experience in statistical analysis.
  • Familiarity with Excel and Mini-tab.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
