Sr. Supply Planner

Mississauga - Financial Dr., ON

 The Opportunity:

As a key contributor within the Supply Planning team, the Senior Supply Planner is responsible for the development of production and inventory plans to meet corporate service level targets within inventory cost objectives. Through strategic planning, data analysis, and fact-based decision making, the Senior Supply Planner is accountable for driving category performance measured across numerous key performance indicators (KPIs) and is responsible for identifying constraints and opportunities that can impact business objectives.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Plan production for our state-of-the-art facilities to ensure that appropriate inventory levels are planned and maintained, in order to provide outstanding service to our customers; taking corrective action when inventories are long or short
  • Manage short term and long-term manufacturing capacities; identifies issues, bottlenecks and opportunities through regular participation in S&OP cycle.
  • Leverage datasets to optimize planning decisions and identify continuous improvement recommendations
  • Root cause supply issues and implement strategies to reduce overall cost of service and working capital
  • Develop seasonal inventory builds by examining manufacturing capacity and understanding customer needs
  • Partnership with cross functional counterparts -- regular communication and collaboration with multiple cross functionals to successfully communicate and resolve constraints or shortages, identify root causes, reduce costs, and identify opportunities.
  • Plan and execute production of new product launches to ensure product is viable from an inventory management perspective.
  • Participate in product development process, ensuring timelines are met by supporting project resource requirements.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3+ years in a Supply Planning or similarly related experience within Supply Chain Planning (Demand Planning, Master Production Scheduling, etc.) in a CPG environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance or a related field and/or professional designation in Supply Chain preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience with SAP-IBP and PowerBI; experience with IBP Inventory Optimization (IO), IBP S&OP and IBP Response and Supply is an advantage
  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, planning and inventory management methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, as well as experience with data management – Proven ability to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions and recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the supply planning process.
  • Exceptional change management skills
  • Proven ability to successfully operate in a fast paced, demanding environment
