Administrative Assistant, HR Summer Student

We are recruiting  an individual to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods Inc. We currently have an immediate opening for a Summer Student Contract for an Administrative Assistant, HR. This position will support Drew Road Maple Leaf Foods team by providing administrative support to our HR, HS, FSQA and other functional departments.


Primary Responsibilities:


As HR Assistant (Contract-Summer student), you are responsible for providing day-to-day support to the HR Team in the effective and timely delivery of various HR functions. This is 3 months contract (working onsite) and functions include HR Administration, Recruitment and Selection, and HR-related projects.

Assistant other areas of the Company functions as needed. This includes:
• Conduct background research and gather information to support HR projects, which may include Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, employee engagement, Assist in the recruitment and selection process to help attract the best possible candidate for open positions. Other duties as assigned In this position, you will report to Human Resources Advisor.


What You Bring To The Table:


• Enrolled in Post-Secondary courses in Human Resource Management or related field • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills • Able to work both independently under minimal supervision and with others in a collaborative environment • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) 
• Human Resource skills with focus on HR administration, employee relations, recruiting 
• High school diploma required. Currently working towards a post-secondary degree. Recent graduates also welcome to apply!
• Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) • Be a team player and have the ability to adapt to a changing environment
