Supply Chain Planning Specialist

Brampton - Walker Dr., ON

 The Opportunity:

As the Supply Chain Planning Specialist, for Maple Leaf Foods – 97 Walker Drive location, this incumbent will plan, direct, and control the day-to-day Production Orders process, Daily Administrative functions, Daily Product Scheduling, maintain weekly conformance, Etc.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

  • Deploy and Confirm plan orders in IBP system,
  • Compile and report out Scheduling Adherence Root Causing report with corrective actions.  
  • Responsible for planning Prepared Meat volume of 8,644,588 Kgs and FPP Volume of 6,214,399 Kgs ensuring all the ingredients, packaging and RAW material are inhouse for production execution.
  • Responsible for releasing ingredients and packaging from 3PL for daily production needs.
  • Ensure weekly production plan is confirm and executed, maintaining Scheduling Adherence above 96% weekly, 
  • Responsible for executing SAP Daily Production Process Orders transactions, assessing product availability of orders, update orders as required, checking-in DPR/SAP, assign process codes and generating all Yield operator documentation,
  • Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of Orders confirmation, ensuring the correct order is being process on the production lines, transactions utilizing SAP system.
  • Responsible for compiling daily OEE and Scheduling Adherence report and report out SLT
  • Collaborate with supervisor’s, maintenance, QA Team, transportation Team, Optimization, HR and Finance to ensure Production Orders and employee flow are maintained, correct and updated
  • Convert plan orders to Process orders in IBP system in accordance with production schedule daily,
  • Work with QA team on product hold and release weekly to ensure customer orders are deploy,
  • Work with distribution team and the Deployment team to ensure product is shipped to correct warehouse from demand planner schedule after production is completed daily,
  • Enter daily STO from 3PL and ensure receiving team complete for accurate inventory at 3PL
  • Creating and updating the blend tracker based on the needs of production daily.
  • Compile daily material usage lists from SAP System and give to inventory staging employee.
  • Daily LCF process when needed.
  • Work with QA team on expired items for extension ensuring zero inventory write-off to ingredients, packaging and RAW material,
  • Work with RTD team on planning test to new product and also finance team calling out any write off that should go on reserve for cost
  • Responsible for all Production administrative duties,

What You’ll Bring:

  • Three to five years experience in a production or supply chain environment
  • Strong data entry and computer skills with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational skills with deliberate attention to detail
  • Excellent comprehension and analytical skills required to gain insights on key shipping metrics
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong knowledge of floor operations across all shifts
  • Highly proficient in SAP Systems
  • Problem solving skills enabling themselves to consider multiple variables and solutions in a time sensitive environment
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Process thinking-ability to link floor and system processes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment (ability to multi-task)
  • Acknowledged as a Role Model/Values Leader in several Leadership Edge Values
