A snapshot of some of the exciting things you will lead and do:
Ensuring the efficient operation of plant equipment.
Supporting and driving the implementation of any improvement initiatives.
Managing the maintenance budget by controlling cost, planning repairs and curing best pricing.
Managing a team of five (5) trade people and a plant currently running 2-production shifts/day, 5 days/week.
Develop his team by providing sound and consistent leadership, support and training.
Participate and support the implementation of new equipment.
Develop, implement and maintain a preventive maintenance program on production equipment and buildings ensuring that any planned preventive repairs are scheduled in accordance with production schedule.
Actively supporting the Maple Leaf, Quality, Food Safety and Health and Safety programs.
Overseeing and directing plant projects including those involving outside contractors.
Being flexible, capable and willing to perform any maintenance task as the circumstances may require.
Ensuring that the plant is in compliance with Federal, Provincial and Municipal legislation.
Developing and maintaining positive cross-functional relationships.
Representing the Maintenance Department at meetings as required.

What you will bring:
Minimum of a college degree in either mechanical, electrical, Power Engineer, electro-mechanics.
Red Seal will be an asset.
Excellent communication skills.
Very good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Working knowledge of MS-Office and AutoCAD.
5 years experience as a member of maintenance team.
Previous experience working in the food industry would be highly advantageous.
Flexibility to work over time as and when required.
3 years as a Maintenance Supervisor within Unionized environment
Understanding of HACCP and CFIA requirements.
