The individual is to support the plant food safety program by running of the sanitation department and ensure that the master sanitation schedule and day to day sanitation activities are in compliance with AIB, HAACP, customer and regulatory standards.
A snapshot of some of the exciting things you will lead and do:
-Able to manage and develop a team independently
-Demonstrated team leadership and team engagement skills
-Monitor and implement the Master Sanitation schedule. This includes monitoring and following up on sanitation activities on down days.
-Schedule and audit the sanitation workers.
-Order sanitation supplies and maintains the sanitation materials and labour budgets.
-Be a contributing member of the HACCP team.
-Write new sanitation work instructions and develop a sanitation-training manual.
-Train sanitation workers on new sanitation procedures and monitor progress.
-Order and evaluate sanitation chemicals.
-Develop and maintain sanitation WHIMIS work place labeling system for all sanitation chemicals
- Fulfill all Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, GMP, WHIMS, CFIA, MSDS and MLF policy requirements. Participate in audits –Food Safety, BRC and Health & Safety.

What you will bring:
-Post secondary education or equivalent experience and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and sanitation requirements.
-Minimum three years progressive experience in food industry, including supervisory level
-The candidate will require good computer skills and be familiar with MS word and Excel.
-The successful candidate must be flexible and willing to be “hands on” to perform and other tasks as required.
